About
I’m Erica Inge and I started this blog as part of my studies in the MEd Adult Learning Program at Virginia Commonwealth University. I update this site when something strikes me as being important in my quest for knowledge (or is that a quest for fire?) and sometimes posting includes the soundtrack of my life.
I’m particularly interested in elearning and using technology to deliver training.
Here’s my LinkedIn summary:
Erica Inge currently works as a curriculum developer for the Virginia Institute for Social Services Training Activities (VISSTA), a joint project between the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) and VCU’s School of Social Work. Prior to this employment, Erica worked as a consultant for VDSS where she developed and then delivered technical training throughout the state, and was a part-time training team manager.
Erica developed her love of training while working for a mid-sized regional bank in the 1990s. While a bank employee, she was a technology specialist who administered and provided training for a bank-wide, recruiting-focused computer system and worked on a variety of process improvement initiatives.
Erica graduated with a master’s degree from the VCU Adult Learner, HRD track program in May 2009. She greatly enjoyed her time in the graduate program at VCU and considers the decision to return to school one of the best choices she’s made. When not immersed in work and school activities, she enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.
